I truly hope #Stanford and #Cal end up in the #B1G. Stanford has won nearly every Director's Cup and along with Cal, USC, and UCLA, regularly claim 4 of the top 10 spots. This is the reason why the PAC-12 was known as the "Conference of Champions".

And adding these two top AAU schools will only reinforce the B1G's academic prestige.

This is not a brand-new idea. But it makes more sense than ever now.

It's official. #OregonDucks and #WashingtonHuskies have joined the #B1G.

~5 hours ago, in the background, multiple PAC-12 schools were saying that the conference was saved, GOR would be signed, money would be shifted to OR/WA.

Lots of reporters believed that.

~1 hour ago it came out that the GOR would not be signed, that #B1G offered #OregonDucks and #WashingtonHuskies, they notified PAC-12 they would accept, and #ArizonaWildcats were still planning to leave.

It wasn't so much a rollercoaster ride but a last second act of desperation that some thought would work.

We started the week with uncertainty about #ArizonaWildcats, but now everyone is saying the fate of the #PAC12 will be decided by Friday.

This is happening. #PAC12 is rapidly falling apart. There's a crack in the door for #Utah to go to the #B1G but IDK if it has the luxury to wait for an offer that might never come.

Some blame USC. Well, if USC alone was responsible for over 1/4 of the valuation of the conference but had to split revenue equally 12-ways, what did you expect?

Surprising no one, the moment #Big12 commish BY announced they would seek at most 3 more for expansion, the mad dash was on.

If #OregonDucks and #WashingtonHuskies move to Big-12, it's temporary as they covet #B1G.

But I still think TP and B1G move to grab the Ducks and Huskies.

I really think the PAC-12 will dissolve before Week 0 of college football. All it takes is one more defection.

An interesting direction -- #B1G pursuing #MiamiHurricanes and #UNCTarHeels -- but complicated by #ACC schools tied up w/ GOR through 2030. #OregonDucks + #WashingtonHuskies remains easiest targets to pick up.

Meanwhile, #MWC says #SDSU already left while SDSU claims it sent letter informing MWC it was staying, for now. How #PAC12 reacts may end up determining if SDSU continues to pursue PAC12.

With #USC and #UCLA, the #PAC12 was headed towards a very decent payout, though still far short of the #SEC and #B1G. But, the two schools were responsible for 40% of revenue in the conference while getting just 8% of the income. That's despite USC and UCLA being in a market where everything costs more.

If Oregon State and Washington State end up falling to the MWC, they will have gone from dreaming of $43M annual revenue to around $7M.

#UCLA given green light to move to #B1G by UC regents. There wasn't any chance this was going to be approved. The question was, what sort of conditions the regents could add to it before triggering lawsuits. After all, they had previously given the individual schools a lot of power to make decisions for the benefit of their own institutions.
