For my #PDX #RCTID #BAONPDX people... Someone has hacked Igor Mortis' Instagram account and is using it to scam his friends out of tattoo deposits. If Igor reaches out to you via Facebook, Insta, or Threads, it's not actually him. Do not send this scammer your money. In fact, don't ever send money to anyone online until you call them on a number you personally trust to verify. It was pretty fishy, so I called Tigerlilly Tattoo (where Igor works), and they confirmed his account is compromised.

Just out here again preaching the good news about FOLLOWING HASHTAGS. It's my favorite Mastodon feature because it automatically inserts posts from a followed hashtag directly into your Home feed.

I'm personally getting regular, no-hassle updates about my local soccer clubs via #RCTID and #BAONPDX. When I'm having a bad week, I follow #Caturday for a few days until my brain is good again. Give it a try.

A little help for all the new Portland soccer folks joining us... There's a really cool feature that Mastodon has and Twitter doesn't. You can actually inject hashtags (say #BAONPDX or #RCTID) into your Home TL by clicking the "Follow Hashtag" icon in the top right-hand corner of whatever hashtag you looked up. It's quite wonderful. Give it a try.
