It's good to get a picture of some #BlackSoldierFly that have made it to the adult stage and are making fertilized eggs!! Usually I only see them as #BSFL, white #maggots of various size and as black #larvae that I take from the compost bins and give to the chickens. It's like being God of Chickens and sending Mana down from heave, these bugs make the chicks so happy. #Abundance!!! I've been promising to take some maggots, and maybe chicks into class for direct hands-on experience...

Feeding time! The convenient JA feed is mixed with home-extended #BulgariaYogurt and free #JapaneseBeef fat. The supermarkets put baskets of little fat chunks out for people to take: maybe use on the grill or something. Until it gets warm enough for #BSFL in the compost, the fat is a special treat. It will be fun to gather #maggots again though. The birds think they are in Jurassic Park going after bugs. Today was the new baby Anzu's first time out of the night cage.
