@scotfot This is beech as well (#Backmuir wood, Muirhead, #Angus).
Also saw a load of it around #Dunkeld in the middle of December - all in beech woods.

There are occasions that the light at this time of year make up for all the dreich, claggy, damp days. This is #Backmuir woods on this mornings dog walk. I just love the intensity of the colours.
