Brief review of Ben Goldacre's "Bad Science."
Good book, offering a nice perspective on the positive sides of the Evicence-Based Medicine movement from the late 2000s.
Unfortunately, it misses some of the critiques that would challenge EMB--and subsequently, Open Science or the Replication Crisis movements in social science.
Definitely fun and well-written, though!

I wrote about how bad bite mark analysis is: https://www.psychologytoday.com/us/blog/how-do-you-know/202210/why-is-bad-science-allowed-in-the-courtroom
Some of the feedback I got was "that's still a thing?" ...and, yeah, kind of. A lot of people know it's BS, but the Manhattan DA's office still uses it. So I guess why not keep pointing out how bad the science behind it is.
