I don't talk about my back balcony much, only because I am a perfectionist and I have not finished sprucing it up. But tonight I couldn't resist sharing a pic. A nice night, enjoying the wind and a cup of tea under romantic lights with gentle jazz music in the background 😄

Another long day of proposal writing… Yay. I’m in that stage where I just want to get rid of it, as soon as possible. I just don’t want to see it anymore.

But first: a few moments with tea and morning sun on my precious balcony. Looking forward to this year’s harvest!

When I am super lazy to cook, I will just order some fried rice and toss some salad on top of it (with a sprinkle of red chilis) for a healthy meal.

So glad I learned how to grow my own edible vegetables!

During the pandemic, the fact that my family had an edible garden helped us massively when supermarket runs were common.

The apartment is getting cold, so starting the seeds using a heat map.

I had to lower the temperature, because it's too warm. Hope to get another batch of lettuce for hydroponics setting I have by the window. The last batch didn't work and I need at least 16 plants to have continuous access to greens all winter!

I love buying items second hand or "left over" from people.

Wanted to buy some #vermiculite for mix with perlite and coco peats to set up hydroponic unit for next year and put it aside because of the high price and shipping costs.

Found a 100L unit on LebonCoin.fr for 25 euro including shipping.

Everything is ready for the Dutch bucket system for tomatoes, cucumbers & melons next year.
