This is nothing but wishful thinking by the prosecutors. If they try to re-file charges against #Baldwin based on additional testing of the #gun, the defense will just have to ask the person who tested it whether they can say for a fact that the gun didn't #malfunction at the moment it discharged. The expert will not be able say with 100% certainty that it did not malfunction. There's your reasonable doubt. I think this latest statement by prosecutors is irresponsible.

The only reason #Baldwin is charged is because he has the deepest pockets. The only person who is responsible is the film’s #armorer, Hannah Gutierrez #Reed. There is no excuse for live rounds being on a set!

Glad to see #Baldwin being charged for the #RustShooting. Not only should he never have held the gun in a way that would let the shooting happen, but as executive producer, he should have been way more concerned with safety on set than he was. (Not to touch on the fact that he claims he didn't even know the gun had fired, given it was in his hand, and he would have felt the recoil. Sus.)

Inexcusable behavior! There should NEVER be live bullets on a movie set. They are culpable!

"After a thorough review of the evidence and the laws of the state of New Mexico, I have determined that there is sufficient evidence to file criminal charges against Alec Baldwin and other members of the 'Rust' film crew," Carmack-Altwies said in a statement. "On my watch, no one is above the law, and everyone deserves justice."

The armorer who oversaw firearms on the set, #HannahReed, has been the subject of much of the scrutiny in the case, along with an independent ammunition supplier. An attorney for Gutierrez Reed has said the armorer did not put a live round in the gun that killed Hutchins, and believes she was the victim of sabotage. Authorities said they had found no evidence of that.

Sorry, but I don't agree with this at all. #Baldwin job is acting. The armorer of the set is responsible for this.
