A prominent line of #thunderstorms formed off the #BalearicIslands from the morning hours, which moved southeastward over the archipelago during the day. Per hour up to 5,000 #lightning #strikes and a total of more than 25,000 lightning strikes were registered throughout the day.
The #storms brought heavy rain and gale-force winds.
