@luciedigitalni Days like today make me so-o-o-o glad that #Ballarat and #Canberra have such similar weather patterns.

#Victorian #TurkishBaths spread quickly round the then British Empire, and baths could be found, for example, in: 1. #Delhi, India; 2. #Ballarat, Australia; 3. #Christchurch, New Zealand; and #Toronto, Canada. Even small towns often had more that one establishment. The first Victorian Turkish bath in Sydney opened within four years of the first one in England, and three years before the first to open in the USA.

Apparently a week out from the State elections there was no news in #Ballarat.

This was the front page of our Fairfax-owned local paper.

It appeared even as the members of the Federal government are pushing to ban (or at least reduce) gambling ads across different Australian media.

Henceforth I shall say that I live in the "backwater knows as #Ballarat".
