I also can't wait to see BAND-MAID again in November. They're a surprise for me. I unfairly judged them before I gave them a chance because the maid thing. While not all metal, they DO rock! They have become one of my favorite Japanese bands. I saw them when I was in L.A. last month and they were great.

I will say that when they take a break and talk to the audience, it was funny but cringey. It's a bit too かわいい (kawaii: cute) for my black heart 🖤😂. 🇯🇵🎸🤘🏾

Received the #BandMaid Tokyo-Garden Theater Okyuji, Jan 09, 2023 DVD. What a great concert!

Such talent. I want to focus a bit on MISA. Since switching to Aguilar, her sound seems a bit less raw from the #bass than it did when she was using the Orange cab and amp. Or perhaps a bit less on the high mids?

It was interesting that she switched from her new PJ Blacksmoker to the full jazz #bass for some songs, then back again.

The mixing was outstanding - it was easy enough to pick out any of the instruments that one wanted to focus on. Kamani's lead, Arcane's drums, Miko's rhythm playing and vocals, and Saiki's vocals.

This track (no vocals so technically not a song) is a fairly recent discovery, and never is a long time, but I listened to this pretty much every day during lockdown and still listen to it often even now.
