Bought myself a programmable smartwatch (https://banglejs.com/) hoping to get my brain working with some simple coding. Sadly still too ambitious for #LongCovid but at least on visiting my student son he has something to play with while I nap on his bed! (I got some tweaks to Smartwatch Apps out of it too. A win-win) #BangleJS

@pixelcode to the best of my knowledge there are currently no plans for a #BangleJS 3.

My #PineTime's motion sensor doesn't work anymore, including step counting and “Raise Wrist”.

Is that something that can be fixed, or is it time for a #BangleJS?

I love the readability button on #firefox is a standard. In #chrome or #chromium it has to be an extension.

But many open source projects like #BangleJS depend on #chromium in my case to access Bluetooth.

Date was clashing with wider hour digits like '08' so I tweaked it a bit... pretty pleased with this new face for the #BangleJS 2 hackable smart watch.

It's a minimalist design using the Büro Destruct Console Remix font, day of week and month dates should respect localisation and widgets are shown. Next I might add some colour or try an alternate design based on BD's Pebble watch faces.

Hmm, I think my 'add leading zero' code needs a rethink. Here's a thing: I contributed my 68k Mac clock to the #BangleJS app store, someone developed it further, no doubt improving it, but THEY REMOVED LEADING ZEROES FROM SINGLE DIGIT HOURS and it looks bad. Not sure what the protocol is here. It was my project originally...

Possible that BD Console Remix was a bad font choice as the 1 and 4 have crazy descenders, meaning most of the time it looks too spaced out… #BangleJS
