Maybe it's because the only halfway decent reimagining of ancient Greek mythology as space superheroes was .

It takes all of 7-Zark-7’s computer knowledge, G-Force’s super-human efforts and the weaponry of the Fiery Phoenix to bring down the Giant from Zyr.
BBC One then broadcast repeats of "The Alien Bigfoot" and "Cupid Does It To Keyop". Both episodes had been first shown in April 1982. You would have to wait until the end of July 1983 for two more new episodes.
