Extra boosters for folks like me? Yeah, they say that, and then they deny it for us anyway. CDC outright said in 2021 that it was a "good" thing us with preexisting conditions (aka disabled) were dying more than other demographics.

They rarely let us have any of the possible treatments for Covid to be honest.

And with Biden deciding to make eugenics as blatant as possible by dropping all Covid emergency policies in May, it's gonna be impossible to get boosters (or any healthcare as a lot of medicaid/medicare help will drop for many) - Big Pharm plans to ramp up the price of an easy to make vaccine to ridiculous amounts. *sighs* ugh.

But now that we have identified the issue, we must act to fix it.

The Left needs to fight tooth and nail for pandemic mitigations, otherwise eugenics capitalism wins. We cannot ever achieve justice, equity, sustainability, equality if we do not push hard for and currently engage in pandemic mitigations.

Masks work. Wear them.

Air filtration works. Use it. Make your own CR Box with 5-6 Merv 7 or higher air filters, point the arrows on the filters toward center of box, duct tape them together to a box fan that blows outward. Seal the sides well and use a cardboard to cover the sixth side (the place where you set your box). They are safe and cheaper than buying HEPA portable filters.

Vaccines work. Get them and the boosters.

Liberals and conservatives in USA especially have been bastardizing the idea of "rights" to destroy any attempts at mask mandates.

Except the reasoning they use for it is wrong and not really rooted in reality. They claim the right to not mask has to do with the right to do whatever they want with their body.

But that clashes with the right of people to exist in public without being infected/assaulted/harmed. By not masking, the particulates from their breath infect the air for HOURS. That infringes on the right of everyone who enters that area to exist in that space without being harmed by it.

So their logic is rooted in this idea that they have no impact on the environment or others ever -- which is false. We are interconnected beings. We ALWAYS have impact on our environment and others. To claim it is a right to ignore that impact and act as one pleases without regard to other people? That is how you destroy communities.

We can't be in community if people go around acting as if they can do whatever they please without regard to the community, people in community, and the environment in which community exists.

I have a right to not get infected (again, since I got #LongCovid thanks to folks not masking). I have a right to exist without fearing for my life and the lives of those I love. That supersedes the "right to not mask."

As soon as someone's actions causes HARM to another, that nullifies their right to do x or y action. Spreading diseases causes harm. Masking helps curb the spread of diseases, thus masking upholds people's rights to not get sick when in public places.

Though how we enforce these "human rights" sucks currently in most states.

But at least in our communities, we can make it clear that masking is how we UPHOLD our rights and responsibilities to each other. We cannot be in community without engaging in behaviors that keep one another safe and upholds our responsibilities to each other. Thus masking builds community.
