Airglow - Wales Nov 2021

A pleasing composition I spotted this time last year when shooting the aurora.
The green in the atmosphere behind the trees is not aurora but actually airglow, or more correctly 'nightglow'.

Caused by a process called “chemiluminescence”, sunlight deposits energy into the atmosphere during the day that is then released after dark.
