- the last book I read was well regarded but I found it a bit arduous
- I started the book after a couple of rather good beers
- I really enjoyed the last book (diff series) I read by the same author so I feel I might have found a new favourite author
But with those provisos the book is _A Long Way to a Small Angry Planet_ by #BeckyChambers and Iām still enjoying the details this morning.

Favourite authors that occur to me include: #IainMBanks, #BeckyChambers, #LordDunsany, #TedChiang, #AdrianTchaikovsky, #RobertHarris, #HGWells, #GKChesterton, #AgathaChristie, #DorothyLSayers, #MargaretWeiss and #TracyHickman, and of course #Tolkien, who I still maintain is under-appreciated. Iām keen to discover new favourites - especially if they can diversify the list a bit.
