That's a major design flaw in a car that magically flips itself on to its roof(!)

And on to #bedworth where I was born and which like me has been in steady but ultimately terminal decline ever since.
And then these, again in a #Nuneaton and #Bedworth Borough Council session, back in December 2021:

This comes after anti-cycling comments were made in a #Nuneaton and #Bedworth Borough Council session back in January:

Two local councillors in #Nuneaton and #Bedworth are repeating the argument that photo ID is needed to collect a missed delivery, so why not when voting? Local MP Marcus Jones (#Marcus4Nuneaton) said the same back in 2018. But it's not true, a fact that is easily checked in seconds on the Royal Mail website.
Ignorance, or are they being disingenuous to support their objectionable new law? And why are they never challenged?

Young people are losing out in #Bedworth due to poor planning from the local borough council who are taking sudden action to close and remove an aging skate park today.
They surely should have known this facility was at the end of its lifespan, and should have had long-term plans and funding in place to provision a swap. Not to remove now, and then maybe, possibly, if funds allow, replace at some indeterminate time in the future.

More local Tory councillors have shown their hostility to enabling modal shift and improving cycling infrastructure in a recent Borough Council Committee session, with comments that are ill-informed and untrue.

I'd love to see more humanity in the reporting of #RoadTrafficCollisions. This local report on an incident near #Bedworth last night, is entirely focused on the impact on other drivers. Only at the end do we read an indirect reference to the people directly involved in the collision.
Fortunately it seems those people were fine, not requiring ambulance attention. But let's always put people first, and report the knock-on effects second.

Good to see some sense from #NBBCouncil - no free #CarParking in #Nuneaton and #Bedworth this year!
I never understand why free parking is generally such a thing over the Christmas period. With all the shopping, what's an extra few pounds to park the car? Why should there be yet another driving subsidy? (I can see the conundrum when neighbouring towns ARE offering it though).
Of course, you can guess how the FB comments are all going on this! Must. Not. Antagonise! đ

@BicycleBen Will try a listen soon. I lived in #NoordHolland for 7 years, keen cyclist and now living just outside #Bedworth.
