One of my favourite plants, Verbena bonariensis. The 'bonariensis' is because it comes from Buenos Aires.
It's a short-lived perennial (i.e. 2-3 years), but if happy, will self-seed. Unlike some self-seeding plants, this one has shallow roots so it's easy to pull out excess seedlings.
It's love by bees, hence #BeeButt, & other insects, and if you leave it in winter, Goldfinches will eat the seeds.
