#FolkloreThursday: #Brigid founded the first convent in #Ireland on #CroghanHill.
Brigid`s sister (part of the triple goddess) #Begoibne had her smithy workshop beneath this hill and built beautiful cauldrons. St Brigid was said to have been born nearby and to have performed a miracle there so that she could cross the bogs which surround the hill.
