If you are into action flics, " #WomenTalking " may not be your cup of tea.
Reminiscent of "12 Angry Men". Set in Manitoba, it is based on an actual colony of Mennonites in Bolivia who went through these same trials.
I never looked away.
It explores deep questions about religion and suffering, forgiveness, abuse, strength, patriarchy, and resilience.
It's emotional, cerebral and moving.
Isn't that what art should be?

I went from binge watching The Crown on #Netflix to watching Everything Everywhere All At Once (nominated for Best Picture).
I had to pause 10 minutes in and stand up, scream, laughing so hard I was crying.
Had to take a breather and wrap my head around this movie so I could watch the rest of it.

So we watched the Elvis movie last night...the one that's up for Best Picture.
$5.99 on prime.
Wow. The music is spectacular. Get yourself prepped with snacks though, and schedule a break. It's 2-1/2 hours long.
That kid who plays Elvis is phenomenal.
Worth every minute. To the very end.
