@richlucking Have you heard of #BigClive? He loves taking things apart and seeing how they work. He's done many videos where he's reduced the power going to LEDs to increase their lifespan. Usually by removing resistors or changing then for a different value.

Just keep going for more. (-:
@bytebro @Archie8 He's done plenty on the subject, and it was actually #BigClive that got me onto this.
In recent years he got coy about saying "vape" because YouTube has Rules, even though he's using the batteries and not vaping, making searching hard.
Here's an early one from many years ago, demonstrating the point that there's extraordinarily wasteful use of rechargeable #batteries going on in the vaping world.
The #batteries that these lazy wasteful foolish #vaping people are blithely throwing away are usually Li-Ion rechargeables in standard sizes. The vape shops commonly sell 0.5 to 3 Ah capacity batteries good for 100s if not 1000s of charging cycles with low self-discharge rates.
It's mad to throw away such a rechargeable battery after a single use, as if it were a one-off disposable.
#BigClive has covered this on occasion.
@philanthrope @tmmj @Archie8 I had the same thought. You beat me to it. Fairy light controller, #BigClive style. (-:

The real (Superdanny) one on Amazon is 1875W/15A, with a thicker 15A rated cord, and has a mere (sic!) 22 outlets and 6 USB ports.
No fuse. But the real blurb does say "flame retardant".
And it's 5 stars and "Amazon's choice". #BigClive and others will tell you what a ringing endorsement that is. (-:

Been making rechargeable, lithium-powered decorations with Poundland lights, salvaged lithium cell and TP4046 charge module. Thanks to #BigClive for the idea. First one discumbobulated a limiting resistor, so now they have two. V. happy with the results.
This is an #ebay "infrared" LED lamp. It's about as infrared as my left toenail. I bought it to use with my #raspberryPi but as it was pretty worthless, ended up using it to do a spoof #BigClive review. I missed out on using some of his key phrases though.
