I love it when a book changes my world view. Orly Lobel's Equality Machine did that for me. This passage from the article AI for Good was one of the lightbulb moments for me. It changed how I think about data collection. It doesn't solve the thorny issues around privacy and data security, but it did make me appreciate the power of data to help solve global issues.
