I've stopped running Strava on my phone when I #bike. I just use my #Garmin ⌚ and sync to #Strava later. I still run the #BikeCitizens app for some extra data.

Joined a #bike ride where the group's goal was to ride 100km, doesn't matter where. I didn't do 100. I bailed when the ride got close to my neighborhood. 🤪

Throughout the ride the others were checking the distance we've covered. The difference between their* non-ebike #odometers weren't much. Mine* was way off. I got home and checked #Strava and #BikeCitizens. Not a big difference between the #apps but a big difference from my bike's odo.

Must check the settings again. 😐

Yes, the odometer is set correctly. I do notice that #Strava tracks are the worst, sometimes really glitchy. #BikeCitizens app is smoother and the distance count is closer to my bike's odometer reading.

I guess I should ignore the distance report on Strava then. 🤔

I'm inclined to think the odometer is closest to the truth. My bike's got the wheels, it should have a better measure of the distance it traveled, right?

Bike Citizens and Strava are based on #maps & #GPS. That can't be so bad.

Wouldn't be so weird if the difference between those 3 readings was just 1km or less. But it's greater than that. 🤷‍♀️

Recently I've been using the #BikeCitizens #app in addition* to #Strava. It can be used offline or online.

I used it offline but decided* I could trust them and now use it online. I use the #free version. I'm quite happy with it so far.

It gives me a choice between Easy, Balanced and Fast -- not the usual car routes. 👍 I like it for #cycling for the routes and #stats.
