Picking up a theme from a post yesterday, just came across this #BillBrandt portrait of #JoanMiro where he almost looks like an element in one of his own paintings.... (I'm assuming a single exposure in Miro's studio?) - the rhyming of the elements makes the portrait!

Ending my first proper day on here with a favourite photograph by #BillBrandt - his classic image of #CuckmereRiver, a local spot I love.
High contrast, rough-grained cloud skies, the white water snaking across its dark floodplain. Foreground lightened to show you grass and flowers. Landscape abstracted into its most basic rhythms!
