My love letter to the Cheonggyecheon in Seoul.

The Cheonggyecheon was formerly a drain covered by a freeway, but now a beautiful bioremediated creek and green strip running from downtown to the Jungnangcheon River and ultimately the Han River.

Can't wait to walk it again, its been too long!

Yes, there are lots of bacteria and other microbes that can break down pollutants in environments. There is a whole industry focusing on this called #bioremediation . Temperature and also other key ecological parameters such as nutrient availability are all important in determining how effective such treatments are. Thanks again for your interest.
