Maybe I should contribute my own photo to #birding #birdwatching #BirdPhotography? This is the mandarin duck that mysteriously showed up in NYC's Central Park in winter 2018-2019.

Don't worry, linguists, this won't become a bird photography account (at least, not until I retire and can finally have time to live the dream. But I'm not that old yet.)

I just followed a bunch of #birding #birdwatching people because the thing I know I will miss the most from the birdsite (and I'm VERY SORRY for the unfortunate pun that I can't avoid) are the delightful palate-cleansing bird pics that use to come up a few times a day. They often appeared when I needed to see them most, and I sure hope I can recreate that here.

Had to move my #bird feeders as the flipping squirrels kept breaking them.
I now have a very confused looking robin trying to figure out where the food has gone. I wish they could read signs that say: "Food is around the corner!"
I can't actually see them now either 😢
