#MartinLutherKingJr day! I wonder what #MLK would say re. #BlackAmerica today. He once convinced #NichelleNicholls to not leave #StarTrek as he knew the important symbol she was for young #BlackWomen/ girls. There still aren't enough & #US #CultureWars are presently raging but he'd be proud re. the role #Women played in twathing #Trump & getting #Biden in the WH.

In 1962, James Baldwin wrote "A Letter to My Nephew" that was intended as a message to his nephew about the harsh realities of being black in the US.
Unfortunately, more than 50yrs later, many things are still true today.
