A few years ago, we had four black feral cats from the same family come visit us every morning for breakfast. The wee cat at the top of the photo was quite tame, so we adopted her. She was happy for six months, but unfortunately feral cats catch all sorts of diseases in the wild and she died of liver failure.

As for the other three cats, one by one, nature took its toll.
