Wasn't sure if this record would qualify as it's a tougher Techno groove but bleeps there be!

When I first heard this, I assumed the genre was Industrial as words like Techno still weren't in heavy usage. Anyway, this led to my brother buying me a Revolting Cocks album for xm0ss that I thought was absolutely horrible.

Anyway, every track on this EP is a banger. Love it!

Going back to a cut from #Unique3's Jus Unique album. This was never released as a 12" so the sort of track you'd only hear in the darkest corners of a trip. I like how the odd bleep is modulated but otherwise things are kept pretty minimal.

Another personal favourite that always made it on to my tapes, often labelled Moment In Time.

Super simple bleeps and a sine wave bass seasoned with a smattering of vocal samples and breakbeats.

A lot of folks seem to prefer the remix but I like the simplicity of the dub. I never played the A side. It was waaayyy too happy for my moody teenage vibe.

When this came out I was already getting into mixing and scratching on a cobbled together pair of turntables. I used an amp and single speaker for each deck and used the amp's volume controls as faders to mix.

Fast forward 20 odd years and I end up working with #RebelMC aka #CongoNatty as engineer and programmer on his #JungleRevolution album.

Had I a time machine to tell my younger self that, I'd have been very happy!

Another one I loved big time and didn't track down on vinyl for a loooonnnnggg time. Was probably one of the few records from this era I had to wait for Discogs to be invented.

Vaguely remembered from the first ever rave I went to and smashed on #FantasyFM for obvious reasons.

Signed to Adele and Dizzy Rascal's label you'd think it would've had better distro... (Neither Dizzy nor Adele existed, poor excuse imo).

I was having a strange experience after eating one (I was young and ate bits of paper, foolish I know) I heard this record. At the time I was convinced it saved my life...

All seems a little silly now but the feeling at the time was intense as the record declared "I want more life".

Seriously love this one, agian from a 1990 #FriendsFM tape. Took a long time to ID. Finally did via a guy known as 'Geezer'. He had a seriously good record collection, loads of tunes I'd never identified he had on wax.

He wouldn't sell his copy but at least I knew what I was after. I'm guessing this would've been around 1995. I eventually bought it off another mate, probably paid £20 and this was pre-discogs, you had to proper haggle in those days!

Second time we were walking through woods to an illegal rave while the intro played. We got to the clearing just when the beat dropped. Boom!

I first heard this on #HardcoreFM with #DJFlirt (who later became known as MC Funky Flirt) back n 1990 or early 1991.

The mixing was so comically bad that a messed up mix became known as a flirt round my way. That said, he did play some great tunes, of which this was one.

Staying with the #Kickin label today as in mid to late 1990 they really were the freshest label.

I played this the first time I ever DJed. I'd taken my records to the local club to show Zee but he didn't show up. So I asked the resident (corny) DJ if I could play for a bit.

Anyway, when I played this the place went nuts and that's part of the journey that lead me to working in music.

This got absolutely caned on #FantasyFM in 1990. A big part because #DJHype was resident on the station. What I love here is the breakbeat was mixed live to the track via turntables, really hard to do over the length of a track but Hype was/is a beast on the turntables.

Yesterday I mentioned the DJ called Zee who put me on to a lot of music at the time. This was one of the records he lent me to tape and it became a firm favourite. Was widely released so it didn't take long to get my own copy.

Some very nice bleep layers going on!.The whole EP was decent, with the other side having wicked bass and breakbeat action.

First heard in a really crappy local club where they let our mate, Zee on the decks for 30 minutes.

We were all like WTF is this?!

This was originally a bootleg but the #Eurythmics heard it and liked it so much they gave it their blessing and it got an official release.

Another underground gem only on white label, my copy simply had Slammer written on it.

This would tear up my favourite club, tiny place with the livest basement and NO LIGHTS AT ALL!

Complete darkness as the first wave of doves hit the UK. Madness.

My copy was stolen, it was a real mission to track down via Tubes as no track title or artist to go by.

Still feel sadness this record isn't in my collection. Pure Bleeps!

This became an obsession to find after hearing on #FriendsFM about 3am on New Year's Day 1991(one of my all time favourite tapes).

Took 6 months to find on vinyl. Eventually found in the deadest Our Price , Tobacco Dock, East London.

Vinyl didn't sound as ruff as on cassette but still happy to find it!

Don't know what happened to Messiah, he went on to making some of the shittest Hardcore tracks to ever insult my ears!
