More tests of an solving problems with : "Write a script using the Blender Python API to make a triangle light setup, as in product photography, for the Cycles renderer. Use square area lights of width W and energy E, pointing at object C from a distance D away." Phind.com's "best model" (GPT-4, customized?) first requested more details of C, D, E, W. Adding units didn't help, so I denied its request, and then it gave code that shows at least some promise. (1/2)

Can an solve esoteric problems, like camera motion in ? So far, I'm seeing only limited success. The GPT-4 (advanced) model of phind.com can solve: "Write Python using the Blender API to animate orbiting of the camera by 90 degrees around the Z axis centered at object 'A' from frame 1 to 24." It parents to a pivoting empty node, a good approach. But the GPT-3.5 (standard) model gets confused. And the GPT-4 model fails on a more useful version of this problem. (1/3)

Spent some time installing Ubuntu on my blender machine and it’s about three times quicker for long headless renders than windows. I can’t figure out where windows allocates the cpu when I step away, but it isn’t rendering…

Only one problem - I normally access the blender machine remotely over RDP and the Ubuntu Desktop RDP performance is incredibly slow ☹️

I’m going to end up dual booting between the two aren’t I…?
