In typical aristocratic arsehole style, the Duchess of Marlborough (who had wanted Wren to design it) hated #SirJohnVanbrugh so much that he never actually got to see #BlenheimPalace, his most famous work, when it was completed in 1722. She even banned his wife from seeing it!
