They don't want to hear me, and I don't want to waste my time. In this we have reached a kind of agreement.

I can't imagine a reason to fight that.

Ohh, sure, maybe I have some clever retorts I wish I could've said, and there is always always that corner of my brain wondering what the "right" thing to say is, the magic thing that will click in a person's mind and shed light on something they hadn't seen before, and I always want to keep trying. But there's just no sense in pushing it. Nothing useful is likely to come from continued interaction.

If you're in a tug of war and your opponent drops the rope and walks off, what's the point of chasing after them, dragging the whole damn rope with you down the street? Just... why??

Someone wise in my feed posted just a few days ago about how trying to pursue someone past a block is toxic behavior.

Then, as if on friggin cue, the MuskX decrees he's going to eliminate blocking as a feature. Because it "makes no sense".

This is a guy who wants to pick up millions of ropes and lasso millions of people who are trying to get away. He wants everyone tangled up together, with their stalkers and abusers, like bugs in a jar that he gets to shake.

Sadistic control freaks like this are running the world right now. Anything you value-- be it software, resources, structures, people, organizations-- that's in the hands of abusers, WILL ultimately be used to hurt you. Take back anything you can, and be prepared. Cannibalistic predators WILL try to give chase.

My hair #block trigger will need to be used on #Mastodon as it does on all social media sites.

Political, media and big business interests and all their associated hangers on, ghouls, #bots and #trolls will of course be trying to poison the dialogue here as they do everywhere else.

Social media is not the same as irl.
No one knows who each other really is and what vested interests they work for but you can usually tell when an account is posting a party line, they all use similar language because their ideology serves all the same interests.

I'm not here to argue with lost souls.
We cannot convert capitalists, liberals, fascists or apologists, we should only eject them from all our spaces. Debating them doesn't get that done, it just gives them access to our circles and raises their visibility.

I will and do block for any reason that suits me, I don't owe you my time and attention.

I am not asking anyone to move for my Preferences. But, it would be Really Cool if a #Fork of #Mastodon or #Calckey had the ability to #Block a #Domain but add exceptions. If this exists, then I do not know about it. Anyone?
