I'm learning how to use my new blood pressure monitor by orders of my doctor. The thin shirt that's fine with the blood pressure cuff at the doctor is not working with my monitor at home. That being said, it squeezes me just as hard. lols.

Tomorrow (Sunday), February 26th in 1874 Dr. Nikolai Korotkoff was born: the Russian surgeon who discovered the auscultatory method for #bloodpressure measurement in 1905 using the cuff of the Riva-Rocci mercury sphygmomanometer of 1896. Ironically, the oscillometry method which is the fundamental basis for the BP algorithms of the automatic #devices was discovered first in 1876 by Etienne Jules Marey so, respectfully, Dr. Korotkoff was only about 2 years old at that time, 😉 🤓 😉 💛 😉
