Na #Bluesky jsem celkem zvědavý. Twitter umírá a Mastodon, přiznejme si to, moc neroste. Pokud se někam mainstream přesune, tak to bude spíš na Bluesky než na Mastodon; nějak tak to cítím v kostech.

Zajímala by mě nějaká hlubší analýza toho, proč nový protokol #BlueSky , když existuje #activitypub : co jednomu chybí a co má druhý navíc. Zatím mi to přijde stejné, ale nestudoval jsem žádné API.

Snad ty protokoly budou umět jednou nějak mluvit mezi sebou.

#Twitter could have made the #TwitterMigration easier by turning on #ActivityPub years ago when they were talking about #BlueSky. But they didn't and instead identified it as a threat to their revenue in their SEC filings.

So if it's confusing, blame Twitter for making it harder than it needed to be.

@wyatteich Ever since they announced #BlueSky, pretty much anybody who knows what the #W3C or #IETF are have been pointing out to Twitter that #ActivityPub ticks every single box they've been asking for for BlueSky. It's almost as if that's not actually what they want, and they still want centralized control but just make everybody else host it...
