Listening to the show in my car over the last few days has brought back memories of the evening the music was first played, which is a beautiful thing that something can help you remember moments from seventeen years ago!

But I'm also enjoying hearing the show again and hearing things I don't remember as well from the evening (China->Rider at the end of the second set, for example).

I'm feeling gratitude.

On this particular evening, my wife and I got seats above and to the left of the stage at the Fitzgerald Theater in St. Paul.

(She isn't a big fan of the Dead but she has been a good sport and has gone to a few shows with me and is happy that I'm happy for this music.)

By this time I had seen three other Ratdog shows and had been fortunate that Bobby liked to tour the Midwest so that a road trip wasn't necessary for us.
