Sunset on #Davidstow airfield with #Roughtor and Crowdy Lake #BodminMoor we were searching for #murmurations but they were dancing far off in the distance pics by my husband Brian

Yesterday there was a slight thaw and we drove to Roughtor still under snow, couldn’t get close because we couldn’t get up the icy hill of the rollercoaster dip beneath it. Lots of raptors about. #BodminMoor #Roughtor #snow
It snowed overnight in our deep valley! First time down here, though the moor was covered but even though, we’ve been iced in for a week as the steep lanes are too slippery for cars and I couldn’t even get to the gate safely! #snow #BodminMoor
Green woodpecker on Bodmin Moor, on Stowes Hill near the Cheesewring, we have the greater spotted ones in the garden every day, but these are rarer. #greenwoodpecker #BodminMoor #ecopoetry

Hope you all have a lovely weekend!
I made this little video at Emblance circle on Bodmin Moor four years ago today!

A wintry wood near Crowdy Lake on Bodmin Moor, where everything glows a fairy green and moss covers every trunk. I’m looking at this photo from February with a Courvoisier in my hand, against the dark. #BodminMoor #moss

Thrilled with this introduction to my poem ‘The Moor Horses’ #TheTLS Poem of the Week. I will never forget that day when the horses first appeared. Thank you Andrew McCulloch for your very kind words on my poem. #BodminMoor #BloodaxeBooks #ecopoetry #laurelprize

Just seen the weather forecast for tomorrow. Windy as, and a lot of rain. If the new Met Office maps are accurate, it'll be about 45-50mm in the next 24 hours where I live on the edge of Bodmin Moor. If so, that would be the wettest day here this year so far. I know we need rain, but when it all comes at once we end up with other problems. Mind, South West Water are giving us money off our bills if the local reservoir recovers...

Happy news yesterday – one of my #poems will be published in The Poetry Review @PoetrySociety
Thank you guest editors! It features a bull on #BodminMoor
@mawgan I miss driving over it before the road was dual carriaged and actually going past the Jamaica Inn. It was fantastically spooky on a foggy night. I remember a petrol station on the north side of the moor that had a 24 h self-service pump back in the 1980s. You had to put a fiver in and it dispensed £5 worth of petrol. No diesel cars back then. It had a big sign saying "Last Petrol Before The Moor".

I mean obviously this was mad weather for mid November. It was a little windy but otherwise really pleasant actually?
And I've forgotten the hashtags obviously. So here they are. #walking #moorland #granite #Cornwall #Kernow #Roughtor #BodminMoor #landscape.

Sunday evening we went to #Roughtor at other end of #BodminMoor to watch #murmurations at sunset. Their roost a far plantation this time. Then an owl glided in front of our car on the way home! Happy Monday friends

I'm lucky enough to live less than five miles from Golitha Falls in Cornwall.
Found in Draynes Wood woodland through which the fast flowing River Fowey flows, the falls are not a single waterfall, but a series of cascades.
Draynes Wood itself is a vestigial fragment of Britain's lost temperate rainforests, which you can read more about here https://lostrainforestsofbritain.org/2021/03/16/what-is-a-temperate-rainforest/.
The falls are at their most impressive after heavy rain on Bodmin Moor.
