Some additions to our home library in response to recent book bans. My heart hurts for teens whose only source of support & accurate info might be what they can find at the library. These books (plus the excellent Gender Queer, which we already owned bc of previous local bans) were banned from the **PUBLIC LIBRARY** in a nearby county. So a judge has denied a request for parents to remove their children from he classroom, when books with LGBTQ characters are read aloud. They were unable to prove that this is indoctrination. When it all comes down to it, these parents are advocating discrimination and erasing the #LGBTQ, pretending we don't exist.
