Writing an essay and wondering if anybody out there in the world of would know of any examples of rare books (for example) damaged by children coloring in them in say, the 19th century. I'm confident there are some out there, just can't figure out how to search for it.

I’m in that age which means my first encounter with weirdness was George Adamski (and Erich Von Däniken), and I honestly think they’re both fun reading - even with the awareness it’s all bullshit. Found this book in the collection and I’ve now added it to my to-read list. It’s signed by Timothy Good, which is a nice detail.

Another fun project is building a library. The rules go:

1) Books must be hardcover in good condition
2) They must be CHEAP (or at least justifiable). If I had to buy all of them at cover price, I’d be broke REAL fast.
3) They must be bought IN PERSON and at a PHYSICAL bookshop.
4) Editions don’t matter except that Desperation and The Regulators need to match and The Stand Must be complete and uncut.
5) These rules apply only for King’s backlist. I buy new books new
