@Meowthias It gets even weirder later on in the #StarTrekVoyager series (maybe that's just the series finale) when the #BorgQueen seems to have brief conversations with #BorgCollective. The Collective will give a report, and the Queen will respond with orders.

I don't think there was much of a plan until the #BorgQueen heard #JackCrusher and thought she could use him somehow 20 years ago. Seems like she didn't know he existed until then, but it's hard to believe that in all the years (eons?) the #Borg have existed, no de-assimilated ex-borg had kids with these abilities.🤷‍♂️

I usually consider it bad form to judge a story by what it's not, but #StarTrekFirstContact is right there, so I'll just observe that it's a little sad that #FirstContact ends with #Data and #Picard reflecting on the #BorgQueen as almost that crazy ex girlfriend that had some admirable qualities, whereas #StarTrekPicard S3 ends with just hate and revulsion at her abuse.

A sentiment of the times? A little sad for a #StarTrek story.🤔

@Trek_Academy @toallpointswest My theory is the Delta Quadrant #Borg are still there, they just isolated #Unamatrix 1 to stop the neurolytic pathogen from spreading.

The #BorgQueen at Unamatrix 1 gathered her surviving borg and made a 20+ year journey #BattlestarGalactica style to the Alpha Quadrant, without the use of the transwarp hub, to seek vengeance on the Federation and consumed the drones and ships for sustenance on the way.

Also, she kinda went nuts.

- Janeway infected the Borg with neurolytic pathogen
- #BorgQueen chases #Voyager thru transwarp conduit and ends up stranded at the edge of the Alpha Quadrant, and starves
- Jack is born and as a child subconsciously contacts the queen.
20 yrs later:
- The changling terrorists steal #Picard's body for his brain DNA, then infiltrate every starship and update the transporter.
- A week (or less) later, Jack runs to the #Borg and assimilates crew

As if the depiction of #Picard's assimilation into the #Borg wasn't traumatic enough, #StarTrekFirstContact turned it into some sort of recovered memory, sexual assault by the #BorgQueen when he was #Locutus.🤢

The craziest part is that when a traumatized Picard finally confronts the Queen, and gives in, the Queen is like, "Hm, no thanks, I got a new boo." And then Data proudly stands next to her, "He will make an excellent drone, honey."😳

Lotta #AbuseSurvivor in this #StarTrek movie.😖

1) interfaced directly with the #Borg collective thru #Picard in #TheBestOfBothWorlds, and hacked them to sleep,
2) led the Borg with Lore for bit, and
3) I'm pretty sure banged the #BorgQueen in #StarTrekFirstContact.
