Un jeu #Breathless, soit une de mes propres moutures, soit uen que je trouve sympa.

C'est un système qui est bien adapté pour les one-shots, qui embarque la plupart des composantes classiquez des #jdr (compétences, talents, inventaire, etc) tout en ayant que 4 pages de règles.

Maintenant que j'ai l'habitude, ça s'explique très bien à un novice en moins de 15 minutes.

#Breathless est un système de jeu assez léger publié sous Créative Common par Fari RPG, un studio indé québécois.

C'est a l'origine prévu pour du survival horror mais ça s'adapte assez bien pour des qui PJ s'épuisent à petit feu.

A chaque test, les dés s'épuisent ce qui complique les jets futur. Par exemple, un PJ avec d8 en Finesse utilisé un d8 à son premier jet, un d6 au suivant puis des d4, le minimum. Il faut 3+ pour réussir avec complication et 5+ pour réussir parfaitement.

J'ai fini les 3 fiches de persos maison pour un #jdr que je maîtrise en famille mardi. Deux joueurs seront des débutant donc j'ai pris le temps de faire dans le lisible et d'inclure le plus de rappels de règles dans les fiches.

Pour les curieux, c'est un système #Breathless dans un settings avec des esprits dans le monde réel. Ça s'appelle #theCityEthereal.

I'm making some PC sheets for a #Breathless based game.

In Breathless, a player using an ability has to "reduce" the dice: a character with a d8 in Finesse uses a d8 on the first test, a d6 the next time then d4.

I want a simple and readable way to represent that. The first pictures are the base character sheets for items and abilities. When a dice is reduced, the player fills the box with a pencil as displayed on the last pictures.

Any thoughts?

I'll master a #TTRPG #oneShot based on the #Breathless system. Here is the pitch.

Hamdi and Hafida looks like some regular nomads in the desert of Libya but they are not. Hamdi is a spiritualist, guided by the spirit of the desert and member of the hidden Guild of Magic.

One day, some townsmen find the magic materials in the car and start an investigation. PJ have a few hours to save their fellow Guild member and avoid the exposition of the spirit world.

I have been working with @waryjack and consulting with @RPDeshaies to help finish a #Breathless #Foundry System Package. We got it to a MVP state and it was approved & released this week. 🎉

Finally finished #Breathless by David #Quammen. And there I see, among the contributors, Paul Duprex with whom I shared an office and lab back in 1992, when we were students at Queen's University #Belfast. Small world!

I thoroughly recommend the book, certainly if you are, like me, a bit of a nerd about such things.

I feel like a bad cinephile, because I just gave #Breathless the same number of stars as #CocaineBear. The difference is, I *liked* Cocaine Bear so it gets the heart on #letterboxd.

Cornelia Parker's exhibit used to be installed permanently in the #VandA where it looked silver from above or silhouetted from below, quite powerful.

For some reason the squashed cornet at the back of our bandroom doesn't receive the same plaudits.... 🎺
