My all-time favorite plant sighting was this #UmbrellaMagnolia #Magnolia_tripetala observed in #HockomockSwamp — yes, THAT swamp of #BridgewaterTriangle fame. This #tree is certainly an escapee, but how it came to the middle of the enormous #Spooky wetlands is a good question.

I have since planted this species in my yard, along with our native magnolia.

The 1896 #QueenAnne style #JohnDeaneHouse aka #AssonetInn during #Halloween times. Another #Spooky abandoned building from the #BridgewaterTriangle — however stories of it being #Haunted are transposed from a now-vanished Inn across the river. The building is now being renovated and I wonder what new shape the lore will take.

Looming behind is an enormous #CucumberTree #Magnolia_acuminata the only specimen in the #Assonet village.

The #GothicRevival #Cudworth House of #Assonet — before partially burning down — during #Halloween times. About as #Spooky a house as you can get in New England and yes it is in the #BridgewaterTriangle and yes it is purportedly #Haunted .

(Yep, it’s 2022 Election results for Governor! This is about the only time I’ve seen something measurable form a rough triangle in SE Mass — albeit spoiled a bit by Taunton. I’m quite unconvinced there are actually a higher density of #cryptid or ghost or UFO or other #Spooky things in this area)
