This seemed so extraordinary that my first reaction was that it had to be an #antisemitic fabrication. However since #netanyahu has taken action against the individual who made the remarks reported it clearly cannot be.

One of the weirdest features was the extraordinary shift in #British occupation policy so that within just a couple of years #rationing of #bread was introduced in the #uk - which had not happened during WWII - to enable #germans in the #british zone to be fed more or less adequately. The indenture system was revived in the #british #empire after #abolition of #slavery there. Indentured labour from #india affected both the demography and the politics o of #guyana markedly but was not negligible in #trinidad either. Give me time please! The whole story is complex and lengthy - and stretches a long way in various directions - to #pakistan, across the #british #establishment - and yes there was a #security angle which was played up a bit by critics in part I suspect to avoid seeming prurient.
