I'm taking my new boots out to stretch them in, no better place than Brockholes Nature Reserve. If you've never been, you should. I love the floating cafe that raises with the water level.

Walking around the reservoir, even in light drizzle, is beautiful, blue bells flowering, birds singing. Nature at its best. can you believe there was even an Owl sat in a tree!
