I thought readers or people interested in everyday lives of people in the past might find this interesting .A huge part of my work was research into day to day life and esp of the Brontes I lived near the Parsonage so I used the same roads and paths each day,so I could put together a typical day fairly accurately esp as I did a lot of work in costume and I live where I have to light the fire ,I used to cook on a Rayburn and keep pets and birds hathawaysofhaworth.wordpress.c

@samanthabwriter I've read it, and it I can't help but suspect that the novel might have turned out differently if the principal characters were in therapy. Not that was available in the period in which the novel was set, let along .

I'm re-reading Wuthering Heights for my Classics Book Club. I was probably a teenager or very young adult when I last read it. My take this time is: What a trainwreck! Terrible people being terrible and destroying all the lives around them. So strange that this is perceived as romance in some circles. Have you read it? What's your take?

Very nice touch in Midsomer Murders ,alongside using Emily Brontes Pseudonym Ellis Bell for the author of the book in the plot ,they use her signature as Ellis Bell for the imaginary authors signature, its not very widely known any exists so the writer was clearly a fan ,he uses Gaskell (the Brontes most famous biographer )and Emily for names of characters .

“how strange it is that most people seem so slow to feel the truth — not to see, but feel! ”

Such a privilege to lead assemblies at Primary School and Primary School today. We were thinking about symbols, and how we need a good when things get stormy. Both schools are part of the wonderful Academy Trust.
