From a few years ago, my first brook trout on a dry fly. Brookie fishing has grown on me since then. The fishing is challenging in a lot of different ways that I don’t encounter on bigger water, but every once in while I do enough things right to get into a good position and get a decent cast off without spooking the fish. The brookies usually do the rest.

I'm not sure which I like more. This has a companion piece and when I finish painting it, I'll compare it to it's smaller copy too lol.

The smaller ones were gifted to my dad. It's the same lineart, I just made a copy of it.
