Cal Tjader is another cat that I dig immensely. Also another one of those dudes who cranked out a ton of great sides on the Fantasy label. Along with Dave Brubeck, he’d eventually find even greater success when he switched labels (Tjader to Verve, #Brubeck to Columbia). But you can’t go wrong with any of it. A vibes master to the nth, Tjader explored everything a #vibraphone could be, and not just a feature of cocktail lounge #jazz. #CalTjader
