Watch my little friend here rehydrate before your very eyes! This sample is from ASPA135 near #CaseyStation in #Antarctica, we desiccate and freeze our samples to store them & rehydrate them to identify which species they are 🌿
Visual estimates tell me this is #Bryum & either #Ceratodon or #Schistidium, but I’ll have to check their cell shape to tell!

Yep, sure is! This is #Bryum pseudotriquetrum that I collected in #Antarctica last year, but it can be found all over the world, potentially in the cracks in the pavement you’re slipping on 😜

石段のすみに #ハリガネゴケ の仲間（#Bryum sp.）（Bryaceae）が群落をつくっていた
もこもこして、かわいい💚
ハリガネゴケ、オオハリガネゴケ、どちらなのか自信がないので、sp.まで
乾いて、閉じた葉がねじれかかっている
霧吹きを携帯するのを忘れたので、開いた葉の様子を撮れなかった
ホソウリゴケとは葉の形がちょっと違うけど、見れば見るほど悩んでドツボにハマる
