Watching a documentary on capitalism relationship to mindfulness... and I keep thinking it is like using psychology with out any consideration of the oath that therapist take. If you remove psychology from healing you have a ability to manipulate people towards the outcome without any consideration of how they would behave if they knew what you were doing.
Mindfulness without compassion doesnt seem very much like mindfulness.

In Japan, today (8 April) is "Kanbutsue" (かんぶつえ; 灌仏会) or commonly known as "Hanamatsuri" (はなまつり; the Festival of Flowers").
It is the day to celebrate the birth of the Buddha. The timing of this celebration differs, depending on the country, but it is celebrated on this day in Japan.
Amacha (あまちゃ; 甘茶), a Japanese herbal tea, is poured over a statue of the Buddha in this ceremony.
