When #CarCulture meets #LivingWithCovid, it's kids who suffer.

Our infatuation with #driving has made it nearly impossible for #kids to #walk or #bike to #school safely. And our steadfast refusal to admit that #CovidIsNotOver means school districts finding themselves without enough healthy #BusDrivers to keep school buses running.

In #ChapelHillNC, kids without a ride to school are being denied multiple days' worth of instructional time.

Local Council #recruitment and #marketing #fail : they paid to put ads below a YouTube video (a young lad uploading an action camera film of his drive around the local area) asking for #BusDrivers for a new community service ; but only want to hire those who already have D1 group (small bus) on their driving licence - so they would only be poaching existing bus drivers (of which there is a shortage) or folk over 42 years old (who if they wanted to drive a bus would likely already be doing so)
