I've tried to use MIL-TEC Basic Ripstop poncho as a tarp for my hammock.

It works, even managed to setup it using single 15m rope (without cutting it) or hooks, etc.

This poncho fine for the shade, or to protect from falling acorns :) , but is too small to protect hammocks corners from the rain... 😕 .

Might get a bigger poncho? But I'm not tall... Or bring also a tarp? But that's extra weight...

These ponchos are rather versatile. Used MIL-TEC poncho, tied between two trees, as a tarp against chilly wind. It was only 12C, but rather sunny so I HAD to go to read a book in a park on a hammock 😋 .

Reading a book (SAS Survival Guide by John Wiseman, Lithuanian edition) about survival in a nature, in a nature..!

Cooked my first ever steak while hiking on a gassifier stove. Also, tried my brand new Forclaz Tropic 900 hammock while I was on a 12km hike in #Lithuanian forest.

Finally manged to ignite birch bark using #LightMyFire ferro rod, but it was pain...

It's a bliss to take a rest while lying, reading a book, drinking warm drink with birds singing all around and sun shining on a skin through trees... 😊

Prepared my first warm lunch while hiking using gassifier stove (some sort of homemade Pâté made from beef liver & stock leftover meat).

Tried to ignite birch bark using #LightMyFire ferrorod, but failed miserably... Had to revert to good ol' matches... 😕 . Must practice more of course.

Few sticks where enough to boil ~300ml of water, heat up lunch, and deglaze that plate, and it was still burning while I was eating.

Prepared my first ever coffee while hiking, using wood gassifier stove.

Stray wood sticks I was using where a bit damp, had to blow in some air regurarly, but it finally did the trick.

Used birch bark as tinder - was surprised how fast it ignites!

Still much to learn how to properly setup gassifier stove, select wood, etc, etc, but it's fun, relaxing intermission for longer hikes!
