I have definitely solved CMYK color separation without using Adobe (or giving them money), and I *think* I have solved creating a PDF/X-3 (say, for book cover printing) from that separated image. Waiting on a printer to verify that I did, indeed, Do The Thing.

Also, what an exercise of my ability to do software testing. Dang. Gonna chill for a little bit now.
